Dr. Cassidy and staff are committed to your care. Dr. Cassidy not only provide general neurosurgery but specialize in complex spinal disease and brain tumors. He has been selected as Sarasota Magazines “Top Doctors” in the field of neurosurgery by their peers for many years in a row.  Dr. Cassidy completed his residency and fellowship in neurosurgery at Johns Hopkins Hospital. For your convenience we provide service throughout Sarasota County, with offices in Sarasota and Venice. Our long term, well trained staff is here to provide courteous, caring and efficient service to you. Do not hesitate to contact us for assistance during your care with our office, as we are committed to patient satisfaction.

Appointments

Dr. Cassidy has a physician referral based practice. Every effort is made to see new patients within 48 hours to 72 hours of the referral, however, that is not a guarantee. We try our best to see patients at their scheduled appointment time; however, emergencies and complicated patient visits may sometimes delay us. We ask for your patience in understanding these occasional unavoidable delays. Dr. Cassidy and Dr. Guerin are sensitive to the needs of their patients and try to be available as much as possible. Please do not hesitate to call our office at any time you feel necessary and every effort will be made for a physician or a member of their staff to return your call as soon as possible.

Medication Refills

We ask that our patients request all refills and new medications at the time of their office appointment.  If you phone in a refill request be advised that they will only be handled Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and please allow 48 - 72 hours, as our doctors are frequently out of the office due to surgery and emergencies.
